Modx content management software is a collection of PHP scripts that work together as a system. With this system you can create sites easily with few clicks of your mouse. With the website you can add content, photos, allow users to register, manage or view certain parts of website. But thats not all. With modx you can add new features via the addon panel, and change the design of the site with new templates. Everything is easy to manage and you have full control over what is on the site and what users can do. To create a community site it is very easy and free with Modx cms. All you have to do is install few addons. The core code will not be overwritten, and you can easily update the site later. As this cms is built with MySQL and PHP it is platform-independent. The best modx hosting environment is LAMP(linux apache mysql php). Hostgator is setup this way and the test results with modx were excellent.

Hostgator in their blog post have announced that they have developed an in house script for oneclick installation of web software scripts. Because it is in-house faster updates are available. it is simular to Fantastico de luxe one-click installer. According to their post they offer free installation anyone having dedicated server or vps at Hostgator. Scripts included for fast installation are: blogs: wordpress, lifetype, b2evolution,, nucleus, content management systems: joomla, drupal, shopping carts: opencart, zencart, oscommerce and lots of other PHP scripts. Because it is still in beta stage youu may encounter bugs, for which you can submit ticket to hostgator support. As for user reviews, there are couple in host gator forum, showing good response.

Hostgator Nameservers address information is sent in your welcome e-mail when your hostgator account is created. Usually this is within 30 minutes after you signup with them. The nameservers should look like:

Both are USA based hosting companies, Bluehost based out of Utah, and HostGator based out of Houston.
